Michael was born in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan, and raised in the mountains of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He trained at an early age with the Colorado Springs Conservatory under a team of professional artists including opera singer and Juilliard graduate Linda Weise and symphony conductor Thomas Wilson. His passion for comedy and musical theatre blossomed while studying at CSC and Michael remained a student of the program for nine years, until he graduated from high school.
Michael then attended the Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he graduated with a BFA in Musical Theatre and studied abroad at Regent's University in London, England. He quickly found his niche as a song-and-dance man and began to specialize in English period drama, which he focuses on to this day. He also developed a passion for dialects while at WebCo and has since served as the dialect coach on a number of professional productions.
Michael now resides in New York City, is a proud member of AEA and continues to pursue his overwhelming passion for theatre every day. He recently performed in the national tour of Elf The Musical and his work has also been seen in a number of regional theaters around the country including the Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, Hope Summer Repertory Theatre, and Ozark Actors Theatre. Outside of performing, Michael enjoys spending time with Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers, hunting down the best chicken quesadilla in NYC, and singing loudly in small spaces.
